Why do MHFA with The Mental Health Coach?
Experienced Facilitators
MHFA is informed by the lived experience of people - something our facilitators are familiar with. We bring much of ourselves to each course, and use our experiences as counsellors, coaches, leaders, and people to help you connect and learn.
Customised Courses
Life is messy - whether it’s time, location, learning type, or anything else - we cater with full customisation. We prioritise accessibility, catering for in-person, remote, or unique content - we’ll make sure you get the MHFA that’s right for you.
Welcoming & Comfortable
Mental health can be a tough topic for many people. With deep respect for both the subject material and you, we make it easier to approach with a comfortable, safe atmosphere - and we even share a laugh from time to time.
Impactful Training
In whichever way you measure your impact - we take the same perspective. From healthier workplaces, to critical skills and confident, open conversations, we’ll aim for your goals and measure the outcomes together.
We Make It Easy
Mental Health First Aid certification is a well-understood benefit to any community, but not always easy to arrange. It is with us. We work with you to help access and integrate the powerful lessons of MHFA into your community or organisation.
Inclusive For All
Mental Health First Aid is for everyone - we aim to make it equally accessible regardless of your experience in life. We offer sensory aids, fidget tools, and customised courses to give you the best experience. Don’t hesitate to tell us what you need.

Frequently Asked Questions
If you don’t see the answer you’re looking for, reach out to our team to get the right information.
Are Workplace Mental Health First Aid courses suitable for our organisation?
Absolutely – we’ve yet to find a group of people who haven’t benefited from mental health awareness. We customise our program to give you the biggest impact, and help you track a range of outcomes – from general mental wellbeing, to specific changes in your workplace, but we also take your goals onboard and build our program to achieve the greatest benefit.
Generally, if you have physical first-aiders, then you have an equal need, and will see equal benefits with MHFA training.
If you aren’t sure if MHFA training is a good option for your training budget, book in a free call with one of our facilitators and we’ll show you the range of tangible benefits to the skills & knowledge in our courses.
Will your course include the MHFA accreditation?
Can you change your course structure for our organisation?
How long does MHFA accreditation last?
Three years, much the same as physical first aid certification, after which it’s a good idea to brush up on your skills and learn the most up-to-date information. We run Mental Health First Aid Refresher programs to recertify you for another three years, commonly accessed in short online sessions.
Is it important to have a Mental Health First Aider in the workplace?
We believe so, and so do many experts around the world. Beyond the immediate benefits of creating a safer environment for the people in your organisation, MHFA training provides a great deal of insight into the experiences of colleagues, helps build leadership skills, and enables more open conversations about mental wellness.
Even without considering the serious mental health outcomes in our country, the same statistics – one in five Australians each year with a serious mental health issue – relate directly to the impact people have toward their professional success, personally and as a team. MHFA training empowers your team to be safer, more efficient, more optimistic, and driven for success.
