Better mental health for everyone, everywhere.
Mental health issues don’t just happen
We’re led by research and the lived experience of people with mental health issues, and the weight of evidence supports a spectrum of mental health. Like best practices for physical health, good mental health is supported by active, purposeful work. Instead of a healthy diet, exercise & an active lifestyle, mental health upkeep revolves around conversation, self-care, openness, understanding and supportive, active communities.
It’s our goal to help people begin those conversations, understand themselves and their peers, and build those communities so that, when a crisis occurs, the right help is always available.
Our work as The Mental Health Coach
Compassionate guides
Our small team of leaders, facilitators, counsellors, coaches, and advocates all have a background in support, education, leadership, and mental health awareness. We each wear many hats and share our wide range of experiences with mental health, the LGBTQIA+ community and people with disability.
People supporting people
We believe in the impact of supportive, open environments on mental health outcomes. By building mental health awareness, removing barriers to conversation, and equipping people with the tools & skills to act early and responsibly, we help people make powerful, lasting changes to their community.
Led by research
As avid promoters of mental health awareness, we have a deep belief in the ongoing advance of evidence-based knowledge. We incorporate the most up-to-date, consensus-based information in all our programs, events, courses & sessions, and always push for understanding, openness & awareness.
Reaching vulnerable people
We see groups and individuals in particularly vulnerable positions without access to the help they need. It’s our goal to meet exceptional need with exceptional effort, and cater to communities such as people with disabilities, the LGBTQIA+ community, and more with our own personal experience and bespoke, intentional support.
Accessible support
We make access our priority - in any location, from any background, in any environment - workplaces, schools & communities. We tailor our work to include the most relevant information, reach you in a way you find useful, and create an environment where everyone feels welcome and encouraged to learn.
Impactful contributions
We’re proud of what we achieve for people in difficult situations, and make the extension of our reach into those communities a priority. From AfterBAGS to Rainbow Youth MHFA & other efforts, we create opportunities to reach those in need - while helping others amplify their impact, too.
