Why complete a Mental Health First Aid course?

We are in an excellent position to assist someone experiencing a Mental Health issue. Many people struggle with how to talk to someone about their concerns. When we have the skills and the knowledge, it’s really easy to help someone. And the Mental Health First Aid Online course shows you exactly how to do it.

An unaddressed Mental Health issue can have a significant effect on a person’s ability to perform at their best, whethere that’s at work, in relationships, in study or any other facet of someone’s life.

By taking steps early to encourage the person to get support, we are ensuring their effective and speedy recovery, and their return to their usual levels of productivity.

Would you know how to help?

Mental health problems can affect anyone in the community. Inaccurate and stigmatising attitudes towards people with mental illness are common.

Many people lack the knowledge, skills, and confidence to support a, friend, family member or co-worker experiencing a mental health problem. This includes how to approach someone and start a safe conversation. This is a very common and normal phenomenon.

Many people we work with have said they have experienced times where they have felt ‘something isn’t right’. Or they thought their client or friend may be experiencing a mental illness, but have not known how to start the conversation.

This course teaches you exactly how to have those conversations.

We also offer the Mental Health First Aid Refresher course that extends your accreditation for 3 years as well as the Youth Mental Health First Aid course.

What our clients say about this course

I feel so comfortable now with providing mental health first aid to anyone in need.

Great course. Everyone should do it!

Nick knew his subject, dealt well with Zoom and facilitated the group really skilfully. He was considerate supportive and upbeat.

This course has brought about a personal passion and has highlighted the importance for mental health first aid. I believe it should be a standard requirement for all workplaces.

I now feel confident to have conversations rather than just observe people’s behaviour.

It is important to do to not only improve your understanding of mental health, but to give you the confidence to act in a mental health emergency

Nick created a safe and engaging learning environment from the beginning, he was clear, articulate, relatable with a wealth of knowledge and a joy to listen to.
