Mental Health First Aid Online Course – Now delivered completely online!
Enrol now for the Mental Health First Aid Online Course with The Mental Health Coach.
With 1 in 5 Australians experiencing a mental illness of some kind every year, statistically, we are sure to be working with one or more clients or colleagues who are experiencing a mental health issue.
When it comes to working with people, we are 100% focussed on helping them achieve as much as they can. We want them to be successful and in a workplace setting, we want them to be engaged and productive.
Equipping ourselves with Mental Health First Aid skills is essential. These skills allow us to open up difficult conversations where we feel someone may be experiencing a mental health issue, and give us a proven approach to do so.
Mental health problems can affect anyone in the community. Inaccurate and stigmatising attitudes towards people with mental illness are common.
Many people lack the knowledge, skills, and confidence to support a, friend, family member or co-worker experiencing a mental health problem. This includes how to approach someone and start a safe conversation. This is a very common and normal phenomenon.
Many people we work with have said they have experienced times where they have felt ‘something isn’t right’. Or they thought their client or friend may be experiencing a mental illness, but have not known how to start the conversation.
This course teaches you exactly how to have those conversations.
We also offer the Mental Health First Aid Refresher course that extends your accreditation for 3 years as well as the Youth Mental Health First Aid course.
