DESCRIPTION:Your people already know how important mental health support is — now it’s time to ensure their skills stay current\, practical\, and effective. The Youth Mental Health First Aid Refresher Course helps previously accredited MHFAiders renew their certification and continue supporting colleagues with confidence. \nDesigned for workplaces that value wellbeing\, this refresher program builds on existing knowledge\, updates participants with the latest research\, and strengthens capability through real-world scenario practice. \nUpon completion of a short assessment\, accreditation is extended for a further three years\, ensuring your organisation retains skilled Mental Health First Aiders who can respond early and appropriately when someone is struggling. \nWho is eligible to attend?\nThis course is for currently accredited MHFAiders who completed a full Youth Mental Health First Aid program within the past three years. \nParticipants will need to provide their Certificate of Accreditation prior to training. Certificates can be accessed via the participant’s MHFA account. \nIf it has been more than three years since your original course\, an extension may be available — please contact MHFA Australia to confirm your eligibility. \nNote: If your most recent training was a Refresher Course\, a full Youth MHFA program must be completed next as per the national accreditation pathway. \nWhat the refresher course covers\nThis internationally recognised session is evidence-based\, practical and informed by lived experience. That’s why our Mental Health First Aid courses are led by experienced facilitators with professional backgrounds in: \n\n\nMental health and counselling – bringing real-world understanding of the challenges individuals face. \n\n\nWorkplace wellbeing and psychological safety – ensuring the content is practical and directly relevant to organisational contexts. \n\n\nLeadership and people management – helping managers and HR leaders apply their learning to everyday situations with their teams. \n\n\nOur facilitators are accredited Mental Health First Aid Instructors who combine evidence-based knowledge with years of experience supporting people in both clinical and workplace settings.
